I met Brian through his bro Andy who went with me to a missions trip to Hawaii back 2 years ago and who recently appeared in one of Jushien’s weddings! Brian’s story with Charlene is truly unique. My favorite part of their story was when Charlene kept on trying to hook her sister up with Brian when in fact Brian was hot for Charlene herself!! And now, ironically they are together rockin’ this engagement session and man, believe me when I say they are MEANT for each other!
I love shooting engagement sessions. It’s just a time of carefree fun with the couple and this couple was no short of that! And for these images I tried really hard to take my images to that next level of editing I want to be at! I’m always trying to experiment both in my editing and shooting. As long as the couple is willing, I’ll go the distance for that one perfect Shot.
I’ll cut my words short as I know Charlene and Brian are dying for the images! I have been truly blessed to be able to photograph you guys! They will be rockin’ my first wedding of 2009!

Sometimes I just want to jump into a pile of leaves.

Hmm. hahah.

I think this series is a good one showing off this couple =).

Liz and Amish’s shoot I was dodging water and this shoot I was dodging sandals haha.

Got to be careful with f1.2! That razor sharp depth of field could cut up a pic in no time if you are not careful (that was for the camera tech junkies hehe)!

Run, run, jump, spin!

Footsies on the beach!!! Now that’s sweet PDA (public display of affection).

My photojournalism at work! We all had a good belly laugh when reviewing these pics that day hahahah. There were ditches underwater that were hard to see. So Charlene goes down first, then Brian turns around to see what happens and tries to save her only to step into a ditch himself. I still break up laughing looking at this.
But it’s ok because Brian is the man to save her in the end anyways.

The water was quite clear! This looks pretty inviting with the warm glow of the sun but trust me, you don’t want to be in that COLD water for long!

I put some of my landscape shooting knowledge into these next few shots. It’s pretty cool integrating different aspects of photography together.

I feel like printing this one out to hang as a BIG 8ft long studio piece for some reason. Kudos to Brian and Charlene for the great choice in matching clothing!

The smell here was horrible. Horrible I tell you. Horrible. Piles of slippery, rotting seaweed in the blackness. Good thing it’s in the blackness.

Ah the sun sets on yet another spectacular engagement session. The sunset foreshadows the Day to come!
