Sylvia + James Engagement | Ferrari 360 Modena Spyder | Fisherman’s Wharf | Embarcadero San Francisco | Fort Funston Daly City

This was my first shoot right after the Spain Scott Robert Workshop and was a monumental shoot for me because I think I was able to find out why I am truly in this business for. I’ll save the details for later.

Ok fine, part of the reason why this shoot was cool was because there was a Ferrari involved. Nothing like having a $350k car sitting right in front of you. See my excitement? Yes.

Hey I match the car!

Ok anyways. I met Sylvia on my Hawaii missions project 2 years ago. Hahah thinking back that was when I was still shooting with my venerable Canon Digital Rebel with a 17-40L lens. But yea it was fun times. Fun times serving the Lord together, water gun fights inside the dorm, etc. I had always wanted to get to know her boyfriend Jimmy too and this was my chance! It was pretty awesome hearing their story and how Jimmy was the man that went after Sylvia! You the man Jimmy! I’ll come to you for advice in the future.

All clients bless me in their own unique ways and I appreciate all my clients! Thank you Sylvia and Jimmy for blessing my day!

Thanks Derek for coming out and helping me with this shoot!

Onto them shots.

This picture is kind of ironic. Police car on one side, fast car on another. It was sometimes hard keeping pace with Jimmy in the Ferrari with my humble Camry. Good thing I shot cars before. It was actually a great day to have a photoshoot with a car.

You have to listen to Jay-z’s Money Aint a Thang song for this picture. Something about a guy looking like he owns the world, with a hot girl next to his side, switchin’ lanes on the freeway….ooo gives me the chills. Just like the music videos. I think I like this shot because Jimmy looks so cool, and Sylvia has the sun catching her face, and well yes, the Ferrari.

“The Good Life” describes this picture well for me.

Ferraris were built for speed, one handed driving, and a pretty girl in the passenger side.

These guys look so tough. I had to run pretty fast to get this shot since it was at a red light. Anything to get the shot. Anything to complete the vision.

Sylvia likes biker dudes. I guess Jimmy is fitting (so is the symbolism of the picture above)!

I’m trying to work with more architecture and available items around me during any shoot. How’s this one?

I really like this one for some reason.

I can really tell they enjoy each others presence! Jimmy doesn’t even have to say anything and Sylvia has a blast!

This picture looks quite serene but in fact those sea lions in the water were “arf arfing” very loudly! They smelled bad too.
